Golem Network has announced the release of the Minimum Viable Product (MVP) for its Golem-Workers API, inviting beta testers to participate in refining the new feature, according to the Golem Network blog.
What is Golem-Workers?
Golem-Workers is an API designed to offer direct and high-level access to GPU and CPU resources on the Golem Network. This capability allows users to perform complex tasks across the network, leveraging the distributed computing power that Golem provides.
Beta Testing Opportunity
After conducting successful internal tests, Golem Network is now calling for beta testers to provide critical feedback. This feedback will aid in enhancing both the interface and functionality of Golem-Workers, ensuring the API meets user needs effectively.
Requirements to Participate
Prospective beta testers should meet the following criteria:
Basic understanding of OpenAPI Comfortable with terminal and cURL requests Familiarity with or willingness to learn Automatic1111 Minimal knowledge of Python
Testing Phases and Rewards
The beta testing process will be divided into two phases:
Phase 1: This phase involves simple tasks such as running predefined AI model inferences. It will commence in about two weeks and conclude on September 30. Beta testers are expected to commit 30 to 60 minutes, depending on their experience level. Phase 2: This phase will focus on advanced tasks to test specific functionalities. It will commence after Phase 1, with dates to be announced later. Participants who successfully complete Phase 1 will be invited to this phase, which may include rewards in GLM tokens due to the higher time and commitment required.
