Exodus Broadens Native XRP Wallet Support as Ripple Partnership Deepens Around RLUSD and XRPL Growth – Wallets Bitcoin News

Key Takeaways:

  • Exodus is rolling out tools to manage and send XRP directly in-wallet.
  • XRP demand drives deeper integration as usage remains strong on Exodus.
  • RLUSD support signals broader XRPL expansion and tighter Ripple alignment.

Exodus Expands Native XRPL Wallet Tools

Self-custody wallet providers are racing to deepen native blockchain access as user demand shifts toward direct asset control. Digital asset software company Exodus Movement Inc. (NYSE American: EXOD) announced on April 16 expanded support for XRP Ledger (XRPL) inside its wallet. The move also broadens cooperation with Ripple around XRP and stablecoin Ripple USD, or RLUSD.

The announcement detailed:

“As part of the expansion, Exodus is rolling out tools for managing and sending XRP (the native digital asset of the XRPL) directly from the Exodus wallet.”

“In collaboration with Ripple, Exodus will also provide additional in-wallet support for Ripple USD (RLUSD), a trusted, enterprise-grade stablecoin designed with regulatory compliance, utility, and transparency at its core,” the company added.

That language points to a product update centered on in-wallet utility, rather than a general partnership statement. The company also linked the rollout to usage data already visible on its platform. XRP ranks among the most active assets in Exodus by user activity and swap volume, according to the release. Chief Executive Officer and co-founder JP Richardson said: “Expanding XRPL support means more ways to use XRP without sacrificing self-custody or the simplicity of the Exodus experience. XRP is already a top asset in our wallet, and partnering with Ripple is a natural next step in making it easier to use every day.”

Ripple and Exodus Align Around XRPL Growth

The latest development marks a shift from indirect support to a formal partnership between Exodus and Ripple, replacing years of internally managed XRP access with direct coordination. The integration formalizes the relationship through RLUSD support and expanded XRPL-specific capabilities, while joint executive statements signal deeper technical and strategic alignment. It also reflects strong user demand for more direct XRP functionality, as native tools streamline asset management and transfers by reducing friction. At the same time, the move positions the wallet for broader XRPL-issued asset support, combining XRP functionality, RLUSD integration, and future expansion within a unified strategy. Exodus serves millions across consumer and enterprise products, while Ripple operates across payments, custody, liquidity, and treasury solutions.

Ripple framed the collaboration around user choice and value movement across digital finance systems. Stablecoin Product Lead Lauren Berta opined:

“Exodus is enhancing the self-custody experience for XRP, and the addition of RLUSD gives users even more flexibility in how they store and move value.”

That comment reinforces the company’s focus on practical wallet functions, not only branding. Exodus and Ripple also said they will continue working together to expand XRPL and RLUSD support over time. The update underscores a strategic push to strengthen native XRPL functionality while aligning with sustained XRP demand within the platform.
